Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Central Sierra Nevada. You can run the rapids of San Joaquin River - Middle Fork near Beck Lakes, and there's fine hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Mammoth Rock Trail. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Beck Lakes; the wettest month of the year is usually January,       that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is June. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn; Beck Lakes is a great site to camp, Minaret Falls Campground is a great site. If you need a spot to stay 1849 Condos at Canyon Lodge is a splendid choice, and why not head up to June Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. During the long summer days here at Beck Lakes, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's with overnight                  lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Beck Lakes dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are really bountiful here at Beck Lakes. Iron Mountain is charming and can be observed from Beck Lakes; you can go for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2. All year is a tremendous time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors. Anona Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and a day on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain is just what you need. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Beck Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Reds Meadow Campground, and a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Mono Creek.
