ski! Kirkwood is a splendid place to do that, and camping at Lower Bear River Campground is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork next to Bear River Reservoir,
and don't leave Bear River Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Windmiller Trail. Bear River Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. American River - South Fork is a tremendous whitewater
spot close to Bear River Reservoir, and if you need a spot to stay Tamarack Pines Inn is a magnificent choice. The high level of rain makes Bear River Reservoir a reasonably wet spot; most of the snow falls throughout January while July is mostly the driest month.
