    Bear River Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff next to Bear River Reservoir. There's wonderful hiking along the Hawley Grade Trail, and camping at Lower Bear River Campground is always a great experience. Places like Deer Valley are delightful to take a look at; Bear River Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Devils Lake is a nearby lake. These mountains rock, just explore all the fun stuff  
   to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Don't leave Bear River Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Windmiller Trail; you can run the rapids of American River - South Fork.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Mokelumne River - North Fork; if you've had enough of Bear River Reservoir, Lower Bear River Reservoir is close by. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Kirkwood is just what you need,
 
               and Ham Spring is a perfect local attraction. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada.
Looking for some flowing water? Try Sugar Pine Creek, and a good place to camp here at Bear River Reservoir is Salt Springs Campground. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are good locations to explore along the Emigrant Trail, and why not head up to Bear Valley and strap some skis to your feet. Pine Cone Acre Motel is a delightful place to get some rest.
Through the summertime here at Bear River Reservoir, high temperatures typically reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bear River Reservoir are in the 10's. Bear River Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is the month with the least moisture.
