This lake is so wonderful. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Man, is there a load of exciting stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Camping at Mill Campground is always a great experience; a spree to Lake Valley invigorates the spirit. Going for a hike on the Emigrant Trail is always a great adventure, and a fine place for whitewater paddling is Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. Bear Lake Dam is a place that is near Bear Lake, and

| | get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Cherry Creek - West Fork. Summertime highs at Bear Lake generally tend to be in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; night lows through the wintertime for Bear Lake tend to be in the 10's. Rock. Lakes? Sure, Grouse Lake is in the neighborhood. Bear Lake generally gets much rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Any time
is a wonderful time at Bear Lake if you go for the outdoors. Not far from Bear Lake, you'll locate Camp Lake which is a pretty lake, and the slopes of Dodge Ridge are so inviting noone can resist.
