     This lake is so wonderful. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Man, is there a load of exciting stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Camping at Mill Campground is always a great experience; a spree to Lake Valley invigorates the spirit.
Going for a hike on the Emigrant Trail is always a great adventure, and a fine place for whitewater paddling is Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. Bear Lake Dam is a place that is near Bear Lake, and
 
   get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Cherry Creek - West Fork. Summertime highs at Bear Lake generally tend to be in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; night lows through the wintertime for Bear Lake tend to be in the 10's.
So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too brilliant to be true. Bear Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Herring Creek Campground
 
               is a nice local campground; after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a good site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. One of the main marks of the surroundings of Bear Lake is Burst Rock. Lakes? Sure, Grouse Lake is in the neighborhood. Bear Lake generally gets much rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Any time is a wonderful time at Bear Lake if you go for the outdoors. Not far from Bear Lake, you'll locate Camp Lake which is a pretty lake, and the slopes of Dodge Ridge are so inviting noone can resist.
