    A visit to Bear Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Pick-aw-Ish Campground, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail. Oregon Caves National Monument is a glorious local destination here at Bear Lake, and the sight of delightful Bear Peak is perfect. Bear Lake is a relatively wet place typically with a large amount of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain,  
   and the driest of the months is July.
Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever want to return home again. Dillion Creek Campground is a nice campground here, and the Kelsey Range makes the scenery here good. Summer at Bear Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Bear Lake descend into
 
               the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
That right there is lots of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it all. On a brilliant day at Bear Lake you can take a hike along the Summit Valley Trail, and Bear Valley is also a magnificent place to explore. Bear Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. All the outdoors exciting things close to Bear Lake will keep you coming back many times. Little Bear Valley Creek is close to Bear Lake and is always a pleasure to visit, and Klamath River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby.
Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Lower Bear Lake in the neighborhood of Bear Lake, and a brilliant location for whitewater paddling is Trace Creek.
