Beautiful Bear Lake has much to offer visitors. If you need a place to stay Village at Squaw Valley is a glorious choice, and do take a hike on the Big Spring Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. Getting to North Miller Creek from Bear Lake is easy; Barker Peak is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Bear Lake. If only every location had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great world it would be. But wait, there's more

| | fun things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A tremendous nearby hotel is Squaw Valley Lodge; why not camp at Wentworth Springs Campground if you're here at Bear Lake. The slopes of Homewood are so inviting noone can resist, and nearby you find perfect locations like Barker Pass. Boat-In Campground; glide down the rapids of Silver Creek - South Fork in a kayak. Bear Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a lovely lake called Richardson Lake
near Bear Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit American River - South Fork. The amount of rainfall that falls at Bear Lake is close to the national average; January is the month that gets the most snow while July is the
month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Bear Lake reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's,
and overnight lows through the wintertime for Bear Lake tend to be in the 10's. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do in the vicinity of Bear Lake. You have to certainly dedicate some time to Barker Meadow since you're here at Bear Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Highland Trail.
