There's whitewater on San Joaquin River - South Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and naturally, all our national parks are brilliant locations to stop at and Devils Postpile National Monument is no exception. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. You can run the rapids of Mono Creek in the vicinity of Bear Lake; camping is available at Mosquito Flat Campground. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in       the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back time and again. The skiing at Mammoth Mountain is splendid. If you go for the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Bear Lake. Not far from Bear Lake, you'll discover Finch Lake which is a pretty lake; if you came for an overnight stay Lake Inlet Campground is a perfect location to camp. Mount Morgan is gorgeous and can be seen from Bear Lake, and Morgan Pass is also a good site to discover. Bear Lake is                  typically a rather waterless place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is June. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Through the summertime months highs here at Bear Lake reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Bear Lake descend into the 20's. On a tremendous day at Bear Lake you can take a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. Lakes?
