     Bear Lake is always a pleasure to visit. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - South Fork; nearby you discover Morgan Pass which is a wonderful place to go to. Bear Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Bear Lake is a location that is relatively waterless ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is January, and June on the other hand is the driest.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. Do pay a visit to Devils Postpile National Monument while you're here at Bear Lake; camping at Bear Lake is fine fun, Lake Inlet Campground is a fine local campground. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Whitewater paddling is good on Mono Creek. Lakes are perfect; Birchim Lake is a lake that's next to Bear Lake. Why not camp at Mosquito Flat Campground if you're here at Bear Lake, and there are  
               great sites to explore along the Sherwin Lakes Trail.
If you love the outdoors, you'll adore Bear Lake. Hit the slopes at Mammoth Mountain close at hand; one of the main features of the surroundings of Bear Lake is Mount Morgan. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. Through the warmest time of the year at Bear Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Bear Lake.
