The beauty of Bear Lake attracts many people from all around. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. is a delightful place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork next to Bear Lake, and why not camp at Overflow Campground if you're here at Bear Lake. During the warm days of
summer at Bear Lake highs are generally in the 60's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bear Lake are in the 10's. Bear Lake is a rather wet
place typically with a great deal of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest of the months is July. Get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Mokelumne River - North Fork,
and the Emigrant Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a fine choice, and the skiing at Kirkwood is glorious.
