The Childs Meadows Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping at Benner Creek Campground is always a great experience. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Bathtub Lake has it all. Cinder Cone is simple to spot from Bathtub Lake, and Butte Creek is close to Bathtub Lake and is always a diversion to visit. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more fun things to do here in the Southern Cascade       Range. Cold Spring is a good local attraction, and Bailey Creek Cottages is a tremendous place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Bathtub Lake without first going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16, and you need to stop at Fantastic Lava Beds while you're here. If you came to camp Butte Creek Campground is a fine place to do that, and Bathtub Lake is not the only site nearby, Duck Lake is a nearby lake. This lake                  is so wonderful. There's delightful hiking along the Hanna Trail, and a visit to Lassen Volcanic National Park is worthwhile. Bathtub Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. At Bathtub Lake you don’t see much rain; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. All through the warmest time of the year here at Bathtub Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's.
