The beauty of Lake Barrett is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and a pleasant trip to Bottomless Pit is a glorious way to spend an afternoon. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. Do pay a visit to Devils Postpile National Monument since you're here at Lake Barrett. | | even more cool things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at 1849 Condos at Canyon Lodge; do put some time aside to spend at Twin Falls if you're here at Lake Barrett. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little trip to Cold Water Creek since you're here at Lake Barrett; there are great sites to discover along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! at June Mountain close by, and after a long day outdoors Juniper Springs Resort is a great place to spend a night or two. A great location to camp here at Lake Barrett is Reds Meadow Campground, and a golf course close by is Snowcreek
Golf Course. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Lake Barrett; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for
Lake Barrett tend to be in the 20's. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things close to Lake Barrett. Mammoth Mountain has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and don't leave Lake Barrett without first going for a hike
along the John Muir Trail - section 2. There are some fine whitewater spots on Mono Creek, and camping at Cold Water Campground is always a great experience. Lake Barrett is pretty dehydrated mostly; the month with most of the
rain is January, and the driest of the months is June. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and Mammoth Rock is a nice place to check out while in the region.
What a site this is for outdoors folks. The peak of Crystal Crag can be seen from Lake Barrett, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Arrowhead Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada.
