During the warm months highs here at Barrett Lake get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Barrett Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. Just can't get enough of the Southern Cascade Range. Thousand Lakes Valley is a delightful place; going for a hike on the       Bunchgrass Trail is always a perfect adventure. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Barrett Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bunchgrass Campground; Eiler Butte is pretty and can be spotted from here. Barrett Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; during the month of January you get the most snow around here; the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Barrett Lake                  is a great place to visit for more than one day, Cypress Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and do pay a visit to Lassen Volcanic National Park while you're here at Barrett Lake. Bailey Creek Cottages is a nice site to get some rest, and there are glorious places to look at along the Chaos Crags Trail. Durbin Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by; get wet paddling on Pit River. This lake is so wonderful. Cornaz Spring is always fun to check out, and a lake nearby is Box Lake. But wait, there's more to do next to Barrett Lake.
