This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well have a look at Bob Owens Canyon, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Courtesy Inn. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Barrett Lake. There's perfect hiking along the Pine Creek Trail, and Ayres Inn Alpine is a tremendous site to get some rest. Don't leave Barrett Lake without first going for a hike along the Old Stage Route, and the       scenery at Barrett Dam is scenic. This location, the Santa Rosa Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. Why not pop by nearby Pine Valley Creek while you're here at Barrett Lake, and if you get bored of Barrett Lake you could also stop at close by Morena Reservoir. Around Barrett Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain while July is mostly the driest month. So much cool stuff to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains,                  not enough time. Twin Lakes Resorts is a perfect local campground, and on a beautiful day you get a fine sight of Echo Mountain from Barrett Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Barrett Lake; Horsethief Ridge Trail is a great local trail; a lake close by is Palo Verde Lake. Throughout the summer months at Barrett Lake temperatures are commonly in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 60's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Barrett Lake tend to be in the 40's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Santa Rosa Mountains.
