     The beauty of Barney Lake attracts many people from all around. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Barney Lake, so little time. June Mountain is a fine local ski area; since you're here, you could also have a look at pretty Arrowhead Lake. Sky Meadows is a lovely location any time of year, and a journey to Devils Postpile National Monument is recommended. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Barney Lake get into the 70's while night lows are frequently  
   in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Barney Lake.
Barney Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Creek Inn; on a nice day you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant site to camp here at Barney Lake is Cold Water Campground, and going for a hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail
 
               will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
At Barney Lake you don’t see much rain; January is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is June. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Sierra Nevada. Camping is available at Crowley Lake Campland, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a good place to spend a night or two; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mono Creek.
These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. The skiing at Mammoth Mountain is wonderful, and whitewater paddling is good on San Joaquin River - South Fork.
