Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is plentiful here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you get bored of Barney Lake, you could also stop by close by Red Lake, and after a long day outdoors Snowcreek Resort is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. There's tremendous hiking along the John Muir Trail - section 2. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Cold Water Campground is a magnificent place to camp. location to do that. All through the warmest time of the year here at Barney Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Highs during the winter
are commonly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Barney Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of San Joaquin River - South Fork in a kayak, and don't miss out on a spree to Devils Postpile
National Monument if you're here. Get soaked paddling on Mono Creek, and pretty scenery and perfect skiing is what you obtain at June Mountain.
