Paddling on Eel River is so much fun; Super 8 Motel - Upper Lake is a nice location to get some rest. At Barley Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Barley Lake are in the 30's. So many fun things to do in the Klamath Mountains,       not sufficient time. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Crooked Tree Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Summit Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Barley Lake has it all. Why not camp at Pogie Point Campground if you're here at Barley Lake, and Black Butte River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Barley Lake a wet                  place; the month with most of the rain is January, and July meanwhile is the driest month. A wonderful spot to camp here at Barley Lake is Spruce Grove Campground, and while you're here, you could also pop by pretty Cushman Lake. Near Barley Lake you stumble on the Buttermilk Trail which is a great hiking trail; the peak of Bald Mountain can be spotted from Barley Lake.
