Why not stop by Banner Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do in the neighborhood of Banner Reservoir. There's some flowing water close by, Gold Run is a stream you can stop by while here; golf can be played at Nevada County Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect place to camp here at Banner Reservoir is Faucherie - Tahoe National Forest,

| | and a tremendous panorama of beautiful Sugarloaf Mountain is available. For the duration of the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Banner Reservoir while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Banner Reservoir night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. only one, and nearby you come across the Lafayette Ridge Trail which is a good hiking trail. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go home again. Eagle Ravine is a good spot to discover, and whitewater
paddling is great on Yuba River - South Fork. Camping is available at Aspen Group - Tahoe National Forest, and dry warm beds await you at Piety Hill Cottages. The high level of rainfall makes Banner Reservoir a quite wet site;
January is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you need a place to stay Best Western Gold Country Inn is a good choice, and there is a good hiking trail close by
called the Humbug Trail. That right there is loads of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Lakes are such serene locations, why not pop by Herring Reservoir close to Banner Reservoir, and the South Yuba Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
