What a nice lake Baltimore Lake is. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Yeah, come here to Baltimore Lake for a magnificent time. Head up to Royal Gorge and strap some skis to your feet, and the Grouse Ridge Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. Baltimore Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is July.
This lake is so wonderful.

| | Lots of people from Truckee-Grass Valley come to Baltimore Lake. There's so much to do here at Baltimore Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sterling Lake Campground is a tremendous place for that; from Baltimore Lake you obtain a magnificent vista of Black Buttes. During the warm days of summer here at Baltimore Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down | |

to the 40's with temperatures at Baltimore Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Shinneyboo
Creek Cabin Resort, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Glacier Lakes Trail. That right there is a load of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. A day on the slopes
of Soda Springs is just what you need; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Yuba River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Hoyfjellet Lodge is a glorious choice,
and there are some good whitewater spots on Fordyce Creek.
Beyers Lakes is a fine lake near Baltimore Lake, and if you came to camp Canyon Creek Campground is a delightful place to do that.
