This lake is so wonderful. Baltimore Lake is not far at all from Truckee-Grass Valley; the skiing at Soda Springs is brilliant. All the outdoors amusing things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back again and again. Why not camp at Sterling Lake Campground while you're here at Baltimore Lake. Lakes are great; Wagon Wheel Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Baltimore Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Canyon Creek Campground is a

| | great location to camp, and don't leave Baltimore Lake without first going for a hike along the Glacier Lakes Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Yuba River - South Fork, and there's good hiking along the Grouse Ridge Trail. Gorge is just what you need. Baltimore Lake gets a large amount of water; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is July. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close
to Baltimore Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Phoenix Lake; here at Baltimore Lake you can observe Black Buttes. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Chalet View Lodge is a good location to spend a night or two. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Baltimore Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's; night lows during the winter for Baltimore Lake tend to be in the 20's.
