Ballard Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Ballard Reservoir. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Butler Spring. Halls Flat is a stunning location any time of year, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pit River. Not much rainfall falls here       at Ballard Reservoir; the month with most of the rain is January; the driest of the months is July. Having a perfect time in the Southern Cascade Range is uncomplicated. Nearby lakes? Sure, Bootleg Reservoir is in the vicinity of Ballard Reservoir, and camping at Butte Creek Campground is always a good experience.
