You'll need more than a day to look at everything Baboon Lakes has to offer, you can camp at North Lake Campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Donkey Lake. Summer at Baboon Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Not far from Baboon Lakes, you'll hit upon Emerald Lakes which is a gorgeous lake, and you can run the rapids of San Joaquin River - South Fork.
