Do stop by Babcock Lake while you're in this part of California. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. A good site to camp here at Babcock Lake is Tenaya Lake Campground; Badger Pass is a brilliant local ski area. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. The yearly rain here at Babcock Lake is about average; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Through the months of summer at Babcock Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically
in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Babcock Lake temperatures drop to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Emeric Lake, and a great place
for whitewater paddling is Tenaya Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Yosemite National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll fancy Babcock Lake. Go for a hike on the Clouds Rest Trail, and if you need a place to stay Wawona Hotel is a magnificent choice.
