At Azure Lake through the summertime highs are in the 70's, and the overnight is a little chillier of course, usually in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's; nighttime lows at Azure Lake throughout the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 10's. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Nothing beats kicking back at Baldwin Beach, and a day on the slopes       of Homewood is just what you need. Azure Lake is not the only place nearby, Kalmia Lake is a nearby lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Silver Creek - South Fork offers some great whitewater. Take a hike on the General Creek Trail, and a great spot is Dicks Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14, and if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Calawee Cove Beach. And                  if that's not enough there's a lot more amusing things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you need a site to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a great choice, and the snow is great at Sierra at Tahoe. Camping is available at Bayview Campground; a visit to Azure Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Eagle Falls. This lake is so wonderful. A good site to camp here at Azure Lake is Eagle Falls Campground, and Pistantes Coyote Den is a magnificent spot to get some rest. This spot is excellent, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the neighborhood of Azure Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit American River - South Fork, and the peak of Maggies Peaks can be seen from Azure Lake. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The good folks of Gardnerville Ranchos like to hang out close by. So much amusing stuff to do at Azure Lake, so little time. Going for a hike along the Red Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and if you've had enough of Azure Lake, Snow Lake is nearby. The annual rain here at Azure Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that snows the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.   Pine Cone Acre Motel, South Lake Tahoe 7 miles away This 22 unit family resort located just off Highway 89 is nestled among tall pine trees in a quiet, park-like setting, with onsite heated pool, picnic area and playground....
