     Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you're here at Avalanche Lake, you could stop by Blacksmith Creek, and Tuolumne River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. Avalanche Lake gets very little rainfall; January is the wettest month with most snow, and October is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. Horsetail Falls is a good local attraction, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered
 
   with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on West Walker River. If you get bored of Avalanche Lake, you could also have a look at close by Ice Lake, and Burro Pass is also a wonderful location to explore. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Glacier Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and do take a hike on the Ten Lakes Trail.
The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful.
 
               Here at Avalanche Lake you can see Finger Peaks, and Yosemite Gateway Motel is a nice place to get some rest. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Avalanche Lake has it all. Avalanche Lake is right by the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and Doc and Al's Robinson Creek Resort is a nice local campground.
All through the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Avalanche Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Avalanche Lake are in the 0's. If you came for an overnight stay Paho Campground is a great spot to camp; the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 offers hiking at its best.
