    Avalanche Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Avalanche Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. You simply have to love the Central Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Yosemite Gateway Motel is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Ten Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Finger Peaks is scenic and can be spotted from Avalanche Lake, and a great close by  
   hotel is Ruby Inn.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit West Walker River; why not take a little journey to Blacksmith Creek if you're here. Why not camp at Paho Campground while you're here at Avalanche Lake; you could always explore Burro Pass.
During the warm months here at Avalanche Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's; the nighttime is quite cooler of course, generally in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows all
 
               through the wintertime for Avalanche Lake tend to be in the 0's. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Tuolumne River. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are really abundant here at Avalanche Lake. Hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 is pleasant fun; Horsetail Falls is an inspiring spot to explore while here.
Avalanche Lake gets very little rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while October is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Avalanche Lake is pleasant fun, Buckeye Campground is a pleasant local campground, and a lake nearby is Glacier Lake.
