Avalanche Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Avalanche Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. You simply have to love the Central Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Yosemite Gateway Motel is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Ten Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Finger Peaks is scenic and can be spotted from Avalanche Lake, and a great close by

Horsetail Falls is an inspiring spot to explore while here. Avalanche Lake gets very little rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while October is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
Camping at Avalanche Lake is pleasant fun, Buckeye Campground is a pleasant local campground, and a lake nearby is Glacier Lake.
