  Some of the water close by flows, like Horse Creek, and Glenberry Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Barney Lake is a magnificent site to camp. Looking for some flowing water? Try Blacksmith Creek, and while you're here, you might as well check out Burro Pass.
There is a pleasant hiking trail right next door to Avalanche Lake called the Ten Lakes Trail. A wonderful site like
    Echo Canyon State Park near Avalanche Lake is too great to leave out. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is plentiful here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
