Ashurst Lake is not the only location nearby, Twin Lakes is a nearby lake, and camping at Crater Lake Campground is always a good experience. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Ashurst Lake; most of the rain falls throughout December; July meanwhile is the driest month. Hotel Mt. Lassen is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Ashurst Lake is one of the lakes here in the Southern Cascade Range. Just can't get enough of the       Southern Cascade Range. A lake nearby is Big Jack Lake; a wonderful location like Mosquito Flat here at Ashurst Lake is too glorious to miss. The top of Ashurst Mountain is easily made out from Ashurst Lake, and if you came to camp Little Antelope Campground is a good location to do that. During the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 90's at Ashurst Lake. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's.
