This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Lone Pine is a great choice, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Bishop for sure. At Arctic Lake you don’t see much rainfall; through the month of January you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is October. So much cool stuff to do here at Arctic Lake, too pleasant to be true. Get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Kern River; you'll discover

| | a lovely lake called Guitar Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Tuttle Creek Campground is a nice place to camp, and this region is dominated by the Sierra Nevada. Throughout the days of summer here at Arctic Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Lake is Sheep Pass. All year is a brilliant time in the Southern Sierra Nevada if you adore the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Frontier Motel, and if you're hooked on cool geologic features try Keeler Needle.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Arctic Lake is right by the Mount Whitney Trail, and Crooks Peak is scenic and can be made out from here. Take a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11; do explore Wales Lake, it's a striking lake.
