If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Cascade Range. The Angel Meadow Trail is a great hiking trail close to Antelope Creek Lakes, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mount Shasta is a nice location to do that. At Antelope Creek Lakes during the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are usually in the 40's while       the cold winter nights at Antelope Creek Lakes are in the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. At Antelope Creek Lakes you don’t see much rain; most of the snow falls through December, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Dry Creek Peak can be observed from Antelope Creek Lakes, and a tremendous close by hotel is Shastas Best Choice Inn. McCloud River has a glorious whitewater                  paddling spot nearby. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Antelope Creek Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Tenneant Campground. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Antelope Creek Lakes called the Cone Point Trail. There's so much to do here at Antelope Creek Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Tennant Campground is a good place for that.
