A good close by hotel is Snowcreek Resort; the panorama of picturesque Graveyard Peak is delightful. The panoramas at Devils Postpile National Monument will blow your mind. At Anne Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. What       would winter be without some skiing at Mammoth Mountain; Minnie Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. High temperatures at Anne Lake through the warm months are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are regularly in the 40's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Anne Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Vermillion Campground is a brilliant campground nearby; a good                  spot for whitewater paddling is San Joaquin River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Olive Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Red Mountain Trail. Anne Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Vermilion Campground is a good site to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail is always a glorious adventure. So much enjoyable stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada, just extraordinary. Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a great location to get some rest; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Sherwin Lakes Trail. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Anne Lake.
