Angora Lakes is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley, and one of the major marks of the surroundings of Angora Lakes is Angora Peak. If you're looking for a beach next to Angora Lakes, we recommend Kiva Beach, and there's wonderful hiking along the Hawley Grade Trail. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. At Angora Lakes during the summertime highs are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Angora Lakes fall into the 10's. Any time is a tremendous time at Angora Lakes if you like the outdoors. Camping is available at California Land Management;
swamps like Osgood Swamp close to Angora Lakes make for wonderful sites to have a look at. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Angora Lakes; General Creek
Trail is a good local trail, and there are plenty of people from Gardnerville Ranchos here at Angora Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Angora Lakes, you'll locate Triangle Lake which is a wonderful lake.
This place
rocks, just explore all the cool stuff to do near Angora Lakes. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on American River - South Fork, and why not head up to Sierra at Tahoe and strap some skis to your feet. Nothing beats kicking
back at Baldwin Beach; Pine Cone Acre Motel is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Cathedral Peak is something you shouldn't miss while you're here at Angora Lakes, and there's whitewater on Silver Creek - South
Fork for all you adrenaline people.
That right there is a lot of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. If you came for an overnight stay Firs Campground is a glorious site to camp,
and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14 offers hiking at its best. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes? Sure, Cathedral Lake is close at hand, and the snow is great at Kirkwood.
