These mountains rock, just look at all the fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Kiva Beach is in the vicinity of Angora Lakes and is a scenic beach to pop by, and Angora Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Firs Campground is a great local campground.       On a lovely day you can explore Baldwin Beach right next door to Angora Lakes; at Angora Lakes you can see Angora Peak. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Angora Lakes. Whitewater paddling is great on American River - South Fork; the slopes of Kirkwood are so inviting noone can resist. Be careful coming to Angora Lakes, you might not ever want to go back home again.                  Angora Lakes is a place with many visitors from Gardnerville Ranchos; since you're here, you could stop at Cathedral Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Pistantes Coyote Den is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and swamps don’t sound that magnificent but Osgood Swamp close to Angora Lakes is rather magnificent. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's so much to do here at Angora Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, California Land Management is a splendid spot for that, and Angora Lakes is right by the Hawley Grade Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the General Creek Trail, and Cathedral Peak is an attention-grabbing place to check out while at Angora Lakes. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Upper Echo Lake, and hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14 is great fun. Sierra at Tahoe is a wonderful local ski area. Lakes are good; Lily Lake is a lake that's near Angora Lakes. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A great close by hotel is Pine Cone Acre Motel; a round of golf at nearby Tahoe Paradise Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Angora Lakes with nighttime lows in the 40's.
