Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the       50's with temperatures at Amphitheater Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and the peak of Observation Peak can be seen from Amphitheater Lake.
