At Ambrose Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest of the months is July. Having a delightful time in the Southern Cascade Range is uncomplicated. A pleasant close by hotel is Hotel Mt. Lassen; a journey to Long Flat invigorates the spirit.
