Altha Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Why not camp at Trailer Park Campground since you're here at Altha Lake; needless to say, this is a wonderful area for folks who like lakes, Clarice Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Laura Lake; if you come at the right

| | time of year, San Joaquin River - Middle Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn; if you came for an overnight stay Grant Lake Marina-campground is a wonderful place to camp. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you need a place to stay Mammoth Mountain Inn is a good choice, and a good site to have a look at close by is Agnew | |

Pass. This lake is so wonderful. The Mammoth Rock Trail is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Altha Lake. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Altha Lake has it all. Really splendid skiing awaits
you at Mammoth Mountain; on a great day you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2. Altha Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; the month with most of the rain is January; June is when it's the driest. For the duration
of the warmest time of the year here at Altha Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; after the
sun is down during the winter temperatures at Altha Lake drop into the 20's. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at June Mountain, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Gaylor Lakes Trail.
