In California there are many beautiful lakes, Alta Hill Reservoir is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the South Yuba Trail is always a good adventure, and camping at Snow Mountain Camp LTD is always a tremendous experience. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Go for a hike on the Humbug Trail, and nearby French Ravine is a tremendous site to go. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Nevada County Fairgrounds is a great site to do that, and Gold Hill is beautiful and can be observed from here. is a little chillier of course, generally in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Alta Hill Reservoir.
This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada.
Good hiking is available along the Lafayette Ridge Trail, and enjoy a round of golf at Nevada County Country Club. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A pleasant trip to Scadden Flat is a perfect way to spend an afternoon;
there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork.
Alta Hill Reservoir gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is July. These mountains
rock, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Some nearby water includes Little Wolf Creek, and you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Truckee-Grass Valley here.
