Man, is there a load of amusing things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Go for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2; what would winter be without some skiing at Mammoth Mountain. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too pleasant to be true. A pleasant close by hotel is Heidelberg Inn, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork.
