There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Tuolumne River. You should unquestionably stop at Conness Glacier while you're here at Alpine Lake, and a good close by hotel is Yosemite Gateway Motel. So much amusing stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough

| | time. Lakes are good; Big Horn Lake is a lake that's near Alpine Lake; since you're here you can take a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Alpine Lake, you'll hit upon Conness Lakes which is a lovely lake, and at Alpine Lake you can catch a sight of Mount Conness. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Alpine Lake called the John Muir Trail - section 2, and camping at Sawmill Campground is always a fine experience. | |

This lake is so wonderful. June Mountain is a splendid local ski area, and if you came to camp Saddlebag Campground is a perfect site to do that. While staying at Alpine Lake you could always look at Lundy Pass. Not much precipitation
falls here at Alpine Lake; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that snows the most; the driest of the months is October. Alpine Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Summertime at Alpine Lake
arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and night lows at Alpine Lake through the winter generally plunge into the
0's. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are truly abundant here at Alpine Lake. On a good day at Alpine Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12, and if you come at the right time of year, Tenaya Creek offers some pleasant whitewater.
