Throughout the months of summer at Abbott Lake highs are usually in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Abbott Lake are in the 30's. So much cool stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains, not enough time. There are other sites here than Abbott Lake, for example Lake of the Island; there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Garden Gulch Trail.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Abbott Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains. Abbott Lake gets a large amount of water; most of the rain falls all through December, and July is when it's the driest. So much fun stuff to do here at Abbott Lake, too nice to be true. Soar down the rapids of Salmon River - North Fork in a kayak, and while you're here, you could stop by Cold Springs Creek. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Klamath | |

Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some great whitewater; Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Red Bank Campground if you're here
at Abbott Lake. Lakes? Sure, Charmaine Lake is in the vicinity. Go for a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail; Pierces Draw is a nice site to visit. Going for a hike on the Tanners Peak Trail is always a pleasant adventure; camping is available at Little North Fork Campground.
