   This lake is so wonderful.
Abbott Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains. Abbott Lake gets a large amount of water; most of the rain falls all through December, and July is when it's the driest. So much fun stuff to do here at Abbott Lake, too nice to be true. Soar down the rapids of Salmon River - North Fork in a kayak, and while you're here, you could stop by Cold Springs Creek.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the Klamath

Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some great whitewater; Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Red Bank Campground if you're here at Abbott Lake. Lakes? Sure, Charmaine Lake is in the vicinity. Go for a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail; Pierces Draw is a nice site to visit.

I CHICKENED OT ABOUT 1/2 WAY UP THE TRAIL I COULDN'T SEE UNDERNEATH THE SNOW AND BOULDERS. I BET THE FISHING IS RIGHT ON!...

Looking for a place called Coffee Creek Resort in the mid-70's.   Had a lodge and A-frame cabins, you could hike a trail up to Lake Josephine from the lodge.  Hoping it is still around now that we are back in California....

Scott Bar Pond
19 miles away
Scott Bar pond is a seasonal pond, and has not fish in it.  It is part of the private water supply for several local residents....
