Here at Yavapai Lake you'll probably meet some folks from Prescott; you can go for a hike on the Woodchute Trail. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Verde River, and there are great spots to look at along the Groom Creek Loop Trail. Summertime highs at Yavapai Lake regularly tend to be in the 90's. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. Don't leave Yavapai Lake without first going for a hike along the Gaddes Canyon Trail, and a glorious nearby hotel is Americas Best Value Inn.
