Camping is available at Blue Lake Campground; don't leave Whitetail Lake without first paying a visit to K P Spring. While you're here at Whitetail Lake you can take a hike along the West Holcomb Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Wildhorse Lake Campground is a great location to camp. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Mogollon Rim Mountains has to offer. Going for a hike along the Foot Canyon       Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you've had enough of Whitetail Lake, Pryce Lake is close by. You could also stop by Pepper Lake if you're here at Whitetail Lake; it's close by, and Best Western Sawmill Inn is a good site to get some rest. Whitetail Lake is regularly a relatively waterless place; the month with most of the rain is August, and June is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Whitetail Lake mostly tend to                  be in the 90's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's.
