Wall Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Roaring Springs Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby; Bear Lake is a fine lake close by. A visit to Grand Canyon National Park is worthwhile. The Grand Hotel is a tremendous location to get some rest; lakes are such peaceful sites, why not check out Indian Lake. All through the months of summer here at Wall Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; night lows at Wall Lake all through the wintertime commonly fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is wonderful here at Wall Lake, you can go for a hike along the Transept Trail, and Fawn Spring is an inspiring site to have a look at while you're here.

 | 17 miles away (...) Hermit trail is in the Grand Canyon! And anyone who thinks it will be in the 70's in summer in the bottom of the Grand Canyon is in for a very unpleasant surprise! More like 120 degrees and you can die from that heat. Best hiking time is spring or fall for this trail. Summer is too dangerous, unless you are used to that broiler-oven desert heat. You need a permit to hike this trail, and since it is popular with backpackers, you will have to get it 4 months in advance, and it is not free. If you have never backpacked before they won't issue it to you, either. (...)... |
