     If the weather is glorious here at Vail Lake, you can go for a hike along the A B Young Trail, and Montezuma Castle National Monument is one of the destinations that are pleasant to visit nearby. While you're here at Vail Lake you can take a hike along the Lava Flow Trail, and there's some exciting stuff to catch a sight of at Upper Lake Mary Dam near Vail Lake. This lake is so wonderful. During the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Vail Lake.  
   For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Vail Lake fall into the 0's.
You just have to have a thing about Vail Lake. Lakes are nice; Fisher and Fry Lake is a lake that's near Vail Lake; a delightful close by hotel is Fairfield Flagstaff Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Vail Lake is a great place to
 
               visit for more than one day, Pine Grove Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Prime Lake. Residence Inn Flagstaff is a nice spot to get some rest, and Lake View Campground is a fine campground nearby.
Gotta ski! Arizona Snowbowl is a great place to do that; going for a hike along the Walnut Canyon Loop Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Not much precipitation falls here at Vail Lake; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most, and June is the month with the least moisture.
