From Twentynine Mile Lake you get a fine sight of Cinch Hook Butte; the Buckhorn Trail offers hiking at its best. At Twentynine Mile Lake through the warm months highs are in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Twentynine Mile Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's.
