Turkey Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is one of the great places here in the Chuska Mountains. Around Turkey Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls through August; the driest month of the year is June. If you need a place to stay Navajo Land Days Inn is a great choice.
Summertime highs at Turkey Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures

| | plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Turkey Reservoir. is so wonderful. Near Turkey Reservoir you discover the Many Ladders Trail which is a great hiking trail, and you don’t have to go far from Turkey Reservoir to spot the water at White Dam.
The Black Rock Trail is a fine hiking
trail near Turkey Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Turkey Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, South Shore Campground is a brilliant site for that.
