These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing stuff to do in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Pacheta Lake is in close proximity to Tonto Lake; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black River - East Fork. You definitely should like the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Why not camp at Pacheta       Lake Campground since you're here at Tonto Lake, and Bee Cienega is a perfect site to check out. This lake is so wonderful. This is a good area for people who like lakes. Maverick Lake is a lake in the vicinity; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Sunrise Park. Not much rain falls here at Tonto Lake; most of the rain falls through August; May meanwhile is the driest month. The Mogollon Rim Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And                  that's not all you can do here at Tonto Lake. Tonto Dam is worth visiting if you're here, and delightful hiking is available along the Chitty Canyon Trail Thirty Four. Black River - & East Fork has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by, and there's glorious hiking along the Robinson Mesa Twenty-seven Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Drift Fence Lake Campground is a magnificent site to camp, and don't leave Tonto Lake without first going for a hike along the Sheep Crossing_Baldy Ninetyfour Trail. All through the long summer days at Tonto Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's.
