The beauty of Thomas Lake is reason enough to stop by. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the San Francisco Mountains. Near Thomas Lake you stumble on the Stray Horse Canyon Trail Twenty which is a magnificent hiking trail, and Thomas Lake is near Barnes Canyon which is undeniably worth a visit. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Francisco Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Blue Crossing Campground is a good location to camp,

| | and if you get bored of Thomas Lake you could also explore nearby Campbell Flat Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunrise Inn.
This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black River - East Fork, and The Box is a magnificent site to check out. The Steeple Mesa Seventy-Three Trail is a splendid hiking trail close to Thomas Lake, and Grant Creek is one of the streams close by | |

that might be worth going to. So many exciting things to do at Thomas Lake, so little time. Thomas Lake is not the only spot nearby, P Bar Lake is a nearby lake; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Raspberry Trail

This lake is so wonderful. Bear Spring is a wonderful local attraction, and Stray Horse Campground is a brilliant local campground. The San Francisco Mountains scenery is always beautiful. For the duration of the
warmest time of the year at Thomas Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Thomas Lake temperatures
descend to the 10's.
At Thomas Lake you don’t see much rain; August is the wettest month with most rain while May is regularly the driest month. Blue River is a great whitewater spot close to Thomas Lake; if you want to go to some exciting stuff, go to Ice Cream Cone.
