If you want a little side tour, try Alchesay Canyon, and if you came for an overnight stay Roosevelt Lakeview Park is a good site to camp. On a great day at Theodore Roosevelt Lake you can take a hike along the Four Peaks Trail; the peak of Deer Hill can be made out from Theodore Roosevelt Lake. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Theodore Roosevelt       Lake. If the weather is magnificent here at Theodore Roosevelt Lake, you can go for a hike along the Baldy Trail, and you should pop by Hotel Point when you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Tuakay Hot Springs is an inspiring location to stop by while here, and you'll meet a lot of people from Payson here. A good nearby hotel is Gold Canyon Golf Resort; don't leave Theodore Roosevelt Lake without first checking out Inspiration Point. This lake is so wonderful.                  Why not camp at Burnt Corral Campground since you're here at Theodore Roosevelt Lake; not far from Theodore Roosevelt Lake you acquire some wonderful water scenery at Theodore Roosevelt Dam. At Theodore Roosevelt Lake you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls through December, and June is when it's the driest. While you're here at Theodore Roosevelt Lake you can take a hike along the Apache Trail, and needless to say Tonto Creek flows through this region. For the period of the summertime months here at Theodore Roosevelt Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 100's with night lows in the 60's.
