There are magnificent spots to explore along the Indian Hollow-Thunder Springs Trail Twenty-three, obviously you could also have a look at Dry Park Lakes since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Grand Canyon National Park is a pleasant national park, and Lower Two Spring is always fun to check out. and don't leave Swamp Lake without first going for a hike along the Tonto Trail. Swamp Lake is typically a quite dry place; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while June is frequently the driest month.
All through the summertime here at Swamp Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 90's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 40's,
and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Swamp Lake plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Hermit Trail
 | 16 miles away (...) Hermit trail is in the Grand Canyon! And anyone who thinks it will be in the 70's in summer in the bottom of the Grand Canyon is in for a very unpleasant surprise! More like 120 degrees and you can die from that heat. Best hiking time is spring or fall for this trail. Summer is too dangerous, unless you are used to that broiler-oven desert heat. You need a permit to hike this trail, and since it is popular with backpackers, you will have to get it 4 months in advance, and it is not free. If you have never backpacked before they won't issue it to you, either. (...)... |
