Stehr Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for a great spree? Montezuma Castle National Monument is relatively near Stehr Lake, and a short visit to Quail Spring is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Stehr Lake it's a good idea to check out The Pocket, and you don’t have to go far from Stehr Lake to catch a sight of the water at Stehr Lake Dam. At Stehr Lake you don’t see much rainfall;
the month with most of the rain is August while May is typically the driest month. Clear Creek Campground is a fine local campground, and whitewater paddling is good on Verde River.
In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Verde River.
