Take a hike on the Bill Williams National Recreation Trail, and Steel Dam is a pretty spot, positively worth going to. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Williams; Ashfork Koa Kampground is a great local campground. Through the long summer days here at Steel Crater, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. | | sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Steel Crater descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Masonry Number Two Reservoir is near Steel Crater; a glorious nearby hotel is Days Inn Williams.

precipitation; through the month of July you get the most rain around here; June meanwhile is the driest month. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Benham National Recreation Trail.
