     Do go to Threemile Lake in the vicinity of Smith Lake, it's a striking lake; Holiday Inn WILLIAMS is a good place to get some rest. Through the warm days of summer at Smith Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Smith Lake are in the 20's. A great close by hotel is Fairfield Inn Williams Grand  
   Canyon, and nearby you locate the Benham National Recreation Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Holden Lake near Smith Lake, and you can stay the night at Canyon Gateway RV Park.
Smith Lake is pretty waterless mostly; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most, and June is the month with the least moisture. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Skiing at Williams
 
               is one of those things you just should do; Smith Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Bedrock City is a great place to camp nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Coxcomb Hill is gorgeous and can be made out from Smith Lake, and the Bill Williams National Recreation Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby.
