Slate Lakes is a lake worth visiting. Gotta ski! Arizona Snowbowl is a brilliant spot to do that, and you can stay the night at Arizona Snow Bowl Campground. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Slate Lakes. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Slate Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Coconino County Government. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Flagstaff West is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and Slate Lakes is right by the Kendrick Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
