Arizona Snowbowl is a brilliant spot to do that, and you can stay the night at Arizona Snow Bowl Campground. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Slate Lakes. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's with temperatures at Slate Lakes dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Slate Lakes gets very       little rainfall; most of the rain falls all through August, and June is when it's the driest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Slate Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Coconino County Government. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Flagstaff West is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and Slate Lakes is right by the Kendrick Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
