A visit to Slate Lakes is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular spot for folks from Flagstaff; if you need a place to stay Flagstaff - Days Inn Highway 66 is a glorious choice. Not much rain falls here at Slate Lakes; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is June.
