     This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Houston Mesa can be seen from Shoofly Number Two, and don't leave Shoofly Number Two without first going for a hike along the Highline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, East Verde River offers some great whitewater; Shoofly Canyon is another delightful spot to take a look at nearby.
Throughout the summertime months, highs typically are in the 100's at Shoofly
 
   Number Two; the overnight is somewhat colder of course, typically in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Shoofly Number Two. This lake is located in the wonderful Mogollon Rim Mountains. Lakes are such calm locations, why not explore Dude Lake near Shoofly Number Two; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Tonto Creek.

               If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel Payson is a pleasant choice; camping is available at Water Wheel Campground. Yeah, come up here to the Mogollon Rim Mountains for a tremendous time. Go for a hike on the Myrtle Trail; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Payson Golf Course is nearby. Shoofly Number Two is a location that is quite dehydrated commonly; most of the rain falls during August, and June meanwhile is the driest month.
Be careful coming to the Mogollon Rim Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. A glorious spot to camp here at Shoofly Number Two is First Crossing Campground, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Payson Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. Munro Reservoir is a glorious lake near Shoofly Number Two, and brilliant hiking is available along the Hells Gate Trail.

...opography and firefighter safety. Fire managers are using existing roads, trails, and topgraphic features to contain the fire. Recent rains have moderated fire intensity, creating burning conditions which will achieve resource benefit objectives.

The fire was active yesterday due to increased temperatures, moving to the southwest and reaching the Highline Trail. A successful burn-out was conducted last night along a ridge on the eastern boundary.

The area encompassed by the following trail boundaries (including the trails themselves) is closed to support firefighting operations and provide for public safety until further notice: On the west side, from the top of Rim Trail 290 (Col. Devin Trail) and Trail 390 (Railroad Tunnel Trail) down to the Washington Park Trailhead. Closures on the south side are from Trail 31 (Highline Trail) at the Washington Park Trailhead east to Trail 30 (Myrtle Trail). Closures on the east side are Trail 30 (Myrtle Trail) from the top of the Rim south to the intersection of Trail 31 (Highline Trail).
