The Basin is a wonderful place to stretch your legs a bit, and when you're here it's always fun to visit Kaibab National Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Shearing Shed Reservoir is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Wire Pass Trailhead is a good spot to camp nearby. Since you're here at Shearing Shed Reservoir why not have a look at Dead Man Canyon.
    Shearing Shed Reservoir is usually a quite waterless location. March is when you get the most rain here, and June on the other hand is the driest.
