Summer at Salmon Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. During the winter highs are generally in the 50's, and night lows through the winter for Salmon Lake tend to be in the 20's. Camping is available at Rim Shadows RV Park; Verde River has a delightful whitewater paddling       spot close by. Salmon Lake is pretty dry mostly; March is the wettest month with most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. A glorious site to camp here at Salmon Lake is Pine Creek RV Park, and a pretty lake like Tanque Aloma is a magnificent place to check out. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day at Salmon Lake you can take a hike along the Towel Creek Trail Sixty Six - Sixty Seven Loop, and Salmon Lake Basin is a beautiful location                  any time of year. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Salmon Lake Butte can be seen from Salmon Lake. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Verde River; why not a little side trip to Horsetank Wash. So much entertaining stuff near Salmon Lake, just remarkable.
