Greer Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and the summit of Sizer Knoll can be observed from River Reservoir. River Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. If you came to camp Greer Lakes Campground is a tremendous place to do that; a fine close by hotel is Best Western Sunrise       Inn. Yeah, come up here to the Mogollon Rim Mountains for a magnificent time. If you come at the right time of year, Black River - East Fork offers some pleasant whitewater, and camping at Rolfe C Hoyer Campground is always a tremendous experience. This lake is so wonderful. Very tremendous water scenery is available at River Reservoir Number Three Dam near River Reservoir; while you're here, you might as well take a look at Butler Canyon. All through                  the summertime months at River Reservoir highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at River Reservoir are in the 10's. River Reservoir is a good site of normal rain; the month with most of the rain is August while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Sunrise Park. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at River Reservoir. Fish Creek is next to River Reservoir and is always a pleasure to stop by; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Bamke Spring.
